Monday Musings: Chary's thoughts on A-Z 2013 Challenge

I'm really excited about this A-Z Challenge.  I attempted them in the past and never really pulled through to the end.  Okay, I abysmally failed after the first week.  Like a paradigm shift, I realized where I went wrong- I didn't PLAN AHEAD.  I don't have an explanation why nor do I even understand how this incredibly essential component of a month-long bloghop eluded me for so long.

However, this has been remedied.  So far, I have decided on the theme, drabbles and photographs.  By doing this now, there will be more time for me to visit blogs in April.

I will be participating on the A-Z 2013 Challenge on Bronx Tales & Inner Musings.  Come and join the fun!  For more information, please click here.

Take care,
Chary

The first year I did the A to Z, I was blogging every day, and all I had to do was to think of an appropriate theme to blog to every day. It was a piece of cake.

The second year, I was still blogging regularly, but I entered both my blogs, so it was a little challenging to think of two themes/ words everyday (neither of which was a repeat).

When I entered last year, I had fallen off the wagon, but I picked two distinct themes, and was able to schedule the entire month on my photo-blog even before March got over. As for my regular blog, I thought of the next week's words during the previous week, and the posts didn't take much writing. That was probably the only blogging I did in the first half of the year.

Advance planning is really the key.

Saw your comment on another a-z challenge blog and thought I'd hop over to say hi and wish you luck. I've managed to finish previously when I joined, but in general was disappointed at the level of participation. Fingers crossed this time round. I've not chosen a theme, feeling like that gave me more options. Making my way through getting the posts written and scheduled.

Could I suggest you change your signature options? I have 5 blogs, many of us have multiple blogs with your signature options being only google you're not going to know what blog is part of the challenge when you click on someone's name. Plus, if someone is a wordpress or xanga or other blog and doesn't have a google account you're limiting who can leave you a comment.

And many people have the settings to not allow code in the message/comment area so leaving a cut and paste url can be difficult.
